RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but not limited to: Managing staff and resources (hiring, firing, discipline, performance management, coaching, mentoring, training, scheduling, etc). Managing efforts of sales staff and serving as subject matter expert to staff and internal and external customers on sales activities. Partnering with telecommunications management on sales related activities. Managing budget, annual revenue targets, partners with other staff and management in researching and developing new products. Market and service opportunities including short and long term strategies for continued company growth and earnings. Generating new revenue through the sales of tower and building roof antenna leases, SONET, Fiber and Ethernet, local loops and data center collocation services either directly or through various General Manager approved sales channels. Generating sales of wholesale digital transmission services and data center facilities to telecommunication service providers and to affiliate companies. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, sales, marketing, or related field and 7+ years of experience in telecommunications management including sales, management, product development, marketing, partnership/sales channel development or related area. Must have excellent oral and written skills; must be able to communicate orally, in person and by phone. Must have strong problem solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and analytical (mathematical) abilities; must have a thorough knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Must be able to communicate complex information to all levels of the organization in easy to understand terms. Able to work independently as well as in a team environment; must have project management skills and time management skills. Have excellent sales knowledge and skills especially in the fiber optics/tower sales environment. Have excellent negotiation and influencing other skills; must have a strong understanding of contracts and contract management.
